Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to hire in Mexico?
Most searches run four to six weeks from kickoff to start date. Role scoping takes two to three days, sourcing and vetting take two to three weeks, client interviews take about a week, and the offer, contract, and onboarding take five to ten business days. Roles with common profiles, such as bilingual support, can move faster. Senior or highly specialized roles can take longer.
What documents are needed to hire someone in Mexico?
The employee provides a CURP, an RFC tax identification number, an official photo ID such as a passport or INE card, an IMSS social security number, proof of address, and bank details for payroll. Cruithunt issues the written employment contract in Spanish, registers the employee with IMSS and INFONAVIT, and files the required tax withholdings. Your company does not need a Mexican entity or any local registration because Cruithunt is the legal employer.
Who signs the employment contract?
Cruithunt does. We are the legal employer of record in Mexico and hold the local contract, payroll, statutory benefits, and compliance obligations. You direct the day to day work and manage the person as part of your team.
What happens if the hire does not work out?
We replace the seat. Termination, severance, and any statutory obligations are handled by Cruithunt as the employer, and we restart the search at no additional placement cost within the guarantee period agreed at the start of the engagement.
